Don't Know

I haven't tried any of the Purple Barley yet. I still have a little of the usual hulled barly remaining. I'll be getting to some soon.

Enjoyed the purple barley

I cooked some of the purple barley and added it to my sourdough recipe along with my other seeds. Delicious! Also put it in a bowl with some almond milk and berries, also delicious.

Takes longer to cook—for soup

I was replacing pearled barley in a beef-barley-mushroom-onion soup. Fantastic barley. However, for soup, the cooking time is much longer than indicated to get a similar result:

I love this product!

Whether I put a handful of this barley into any loaf of bread that I make, or put one cup and mill it myself into bread, or make sprouts out of the barley for my salad; I just plain love it!
