Our Artisan Bread Flour features Rouge de Bordeaux, a 19th century favorite of French bakers. It’s being revived once again by the artisan sourdough community looking for a deep, nutty flavor and rich fragrance. This flour has notes of cocoa and brown sugar with a complex, earthy aroma. 

Stone milled Rouge de Bordeaux is blended with a high protein bread flour for performance.  The aroma of our Artisan Bread Flour will knock your oven mitts off and might quickly become a favorite for all your sourdough and yeast bread creations.

Artisan Bread Flour

We have stocked away some bags of flour in our freezer to fight off the coming shortage of flour on the market today to say nothing of the price increases we are seeing ( as was predicted). We will put your flour soon into our rotation. We look forward to using it. Are you selling your flour in larger quantities? Lately, all we see is two pound bags?

Hi Luciano, We do offer our Artisan Bread and All Purpose flour in 44 lb quantities (10 x 4.4 lb bags). We have found this product size ships best through the UPS system, both in terms of product reaching our community without damage and intact, and UPS's small parcel weight limit of 50 lbs. Great products

Love the product. Prefer the older paper bags though - new are smaller (which I guess is fine) and plastic (which is not fine).

Regarding the packaging, we made the switch to the smaller bags as they handle the journey through the mail system much better (the paper bags were exploding during transit!). In the meantime, we are working towards more sustainable package options!
