Don Guerra of Barrio Bread won the 2022 James Beard Award for Outstanding Baker, and in celebration of this great honor, we have collaborated to bring you his signature Heritage Flour blend used in his bakery every day.
The Barrio Grains Flour blend features Arizona-grown stone milled whole wheat Hard Red Spring flour with marvelous bread-making properties. It is blended with a stone milled, finely sifted Blue Beard Durum flour for depth of flavor and a high-protein bread flour to enhance performance. When you bite into the chewy texture and amazing crust of your own sourdough creation, you may just nominate yourself for an award.

I have been purchasing Hayden Flour for a while - it's the only flour I buy. I purchased the Barrio Blend recently which is quite amazing. I have been making sourdough for about 10 years and this flour really makes a difference. The flavor is wonderful and rich.
