Black Einkorn is the rare, mythic elder of the grain world — the one that survived on the edges of the world when everything else moved on. 

In the field, Black Einkorn is striking: flat, dark seed heads with long bristles that mountain farmers in France and Eastern Europe kept alive for centuries, not for convenience, but for love of the grain. It's deep color offers rich antioxidants like those found in blueberries and black rice. Earthy, toasty, and deeply nutty, it brings a warmth to sourdough, scones, and quick breads that other ancient varieties simply cannot match.
