Charles Hayden’s vision for Arizona’s grain and milling legacy began 200 years ago, and his passion still shapes Hayden Flour Mills today. To celebrate his bicentennial, we’ve created a limited-edition sourdough flour blend that pays homage to the heritage grains that define our history.
This commemorative blend features stone-milled Vitrea Wheat with a touch of Blue Beard Durum, layered into a high-protein bread flour to bring out rich, malty depth, warm nuttiness, and a beautiful golden crust. Perfect for artisan sourdough baking, it delivers a tender, flavorful crumb and an unmistakable connection to the land and legacy of Arizona agriculture.
Once this special blend is gone, it’s gone- a true tribute to the man who started it all.
