Farmer's Porridge and Roasted Grapes

Roasted grapes turn our Farmer’s Porridge into a comforting fall breakfast.

What You'll Need

3 cups red seedless grapes

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 cup Hayden Flour Mills Farmer’s Porridge

4 cups water

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Wash and de-stem the grapes. Toss with the olive oil and spread out on a roasting pan. Roast for 20 minutes or until the grapes are slightly shriveled.

  2. While the grapes are roasting prepare the Hayden Flour Mills Farmer’s Porridge. Pour the farmer’s porridge into a small pot. Toast the porridge over medium heat for 5 minutes. Then pour the water over the porridge. Lower the heat and allow to cook for 15 minutes, stirring intermittently.

  3. Serve warm with a heaping spoonful of roasted grapes and a dollop of cream. Add brown sugar or honey to your desired sweetness.
